Newcastle buses letting you down? Tell us about it!

Are your bus services letting you down?
You’re not the only one.

When the former NSW Government sold off Newcastle’s public buses to private operators in 2015, we were promised it would deliver better services.

We knew it wouldn’t, and it hasn’t.

Now, instead of the reliable bus system we deserve, Newcastle commuters have been left with buses that run late, overcrowding, unreliable schedules, stop closures, route cuts and a complete lack of accountability.

Local bus drivers are also suffering, with ongoing pay issues and a degrading of wages and conditions resulting in huge driver shortages.

The current system just isn’t working. It’s time for a change.

That’s why we’re building a case to bring buses back under public control in Newcastle.

And we need your help to do it.

Share your worst bus experiences—whether it’s delays, overcrowding, broken schedules, or routes that don’t meet your needs.

Your story matters, and it will strengthen our case to bring public buses back to Newcastle.
