In August, Transport Minister Andrew Constance promised that communities would be consulted before any bus routes or services were changed, if privatisation plans went ahead.

This promise was won after fierce opposition from the Our Transport community and bus drivers to the proposed privatisation of bus regions 7, 8 and 9 – covering North West Sydney, the North Shore, Northern Beaches and Eastern Suburbs.
